hi, for ages i've used echo $AUTH_USER to get the authorised user. Now i've upgraded to windows 2000 with php 4.2.0 it just returns blank.
am i missing something really silly here?
AUTH_USER only works when PHP is installed as a module of Apache. And I really don't know whether it is possible to install them together in that way on Win. I suspect not.
i used to use it on nt4/php ?
