Checking Text before Posted..

How can you check the text right before it get posted...for example...like deleting bad words from user posted message...for example...forum...if someone types in bad word and right before its posted it deletes the bad words and post the rest of the message..with out being monitored by the admin...??

You can use preg_replace to replace the bad words...but you can never replace ALL the bad words...People can still post variations of the bad word. For example, they can space it out so there's a space in between each character, like "S T U P I D" (of course, people would use worse words 😛). Or "stup1d", or "ztupid", or ... or ...
