Strip between 2 characters?

If someone can help me w/ this I would be soooo greatful!

I have an IMAP program and this is what it returns for the fromaddress:

"Last, First" <[e-mail]>

And i need to get:

[e-mail]

out of that.

Any help would be appreciated.
