Detecting file presence

Hi,

I need to establish if an image file exists in a particular directory on the server. If it does exist, fine, the page can display the image.

If, however, it doesn't exist, I need the page to display a "No Image" file.

How would I go about detecting the presence of the file?

Use file_exists(string), like this

if (file_exists($filename)) {
// file exists
}
else {
// file does not exist
}
