Ignoring Hyphens in block text

Hi,
just wondering if anybody could help with this small problem....i'm trying to print out a block of text to the screen in a text area...when the texts prints out it turns hyphens into \' ie. it turns the word "can't" into "can\'t"...is there a way of avoiding this???thanks,

try the function StripSlashes({your_text_here}).

also, a hyphen is "-", what you mean is a single-quote.
