HELP ( REFERER )

I have this STUPID problem, that is literally driving me insane.

when I try to find out $HTTP_REFERER, it is blank, every time. And I have been looking at other ways of getting this, like _SERVER[], and getenv(), but to NO AVAIL.

When I check phpinfo() the referrer is listed 2 or 3 times, but nothing else seems to be able to read it. THIS IS DRIVING ME INSANE. If its available in phpinfo() it HAS to be available somehow somewhere else.

Before I write a function that calls phpinfo() and parses the damned results text, does ANYONE have ANY suggestions?

um,, as I said, $HTTP_REFERER is empty.

When I was using ASP (long ago) I found that not all browsers support referers and so you should keep that in mind. If I find anything else I'll let you know.
