Warning: SAFE MODE Restriction in effect

Hey, I'm getting this error

Warning: SAFE MODE Restriction in effect. The script whose uid is 1153 is not allowed to access private/1003/2002-05-02/image-2.gif owned by uid 33 in index.php on line 43

The image im attempting to GetImageSize on is uploaded by my script, put in a directory created by my script and renamed by my script yet I cant seem to GetImageSize it..

Also, when i first upload the image in the script, I can getimagesize it.. before i move and rename the file

PHP is running in safemode.

any help would be greatly appreciated

Well, the warning says it all really. PHP is running in Safe Mode. Read: "Wildly paranoid mode where I don't even dare ask permission to breathe".

To turn Safe Mode off involves changing the line in php.ini that starts with "safe_mode"; have it read "safe_mode=Off".

Then restart the server.
