Session Problems

I've changed my the stuff in php.ini to session.save_path = \WINDOWS\TEMP

I've also changed it to C:\TEMP (existing folder)

i have also restarted apache

and i still get a Warning: open(/tmp\sess9_acd7e86c273bfc8e1f5d4f20b94277, O_RDWR) failed: ,(2) in (blah blah blah)

how will i get this to work. (I'm going crazy here plus i'm getting really hungry)
