Select a directory not a file??

Hi
I want the user selects a directory in order to copy files inside. I know the HTML TAG
INPUT TYPE=FILE exists but with this TAG the user must select a file and not only a directory.
How I can do this ?? Thanks

correct me if I'm wrong, but the FILE element (with the browse button next to it) is a function of the browser, not php. therefore, this ability (which is a good idea) is a function of the browser and the operating system and not of php.

If folder was on the server side you could do this, but no browser is going to tell you the contents of local folders.
