quick mysql problem

hi, this is my mysql table....

Name Type
www.bleh.com Website
www.blah.com Website
ftp.bleh.com FTP

i'm trying to find out, from a mysql query, the most occuring value in the field column (i.e Website) and how many times it occurs.

I've been tinkering with count(), distinct() and max() but can't quite seem to get it.

Any ideas?

Would this work?

SELECT ,COUNT() AS num FROM table GROUP BY type ORDER BY num DESC LIMIT 1

I am not that good at sql, I am sure there is a better way -- check the documentation
