Hi All,

Can anyone see anything wrong with this query ?

select distinct Dates
from timesheet
where Start BETWEEN 01.30 AND 02.45 or Stop BETWEEN 01.30 AND 02.45
and Dates = '2002-05-05'
and EmployeeID = 18

It is returning true on a record that has 13.15 as Start and 18.00 as Stop ?????

did you try putting the values into single quotes?

Also, I would enclose them in () if at all possible- it helps you in reading it and sometimes it is necessary in certain databases such as-

SELECT distinct Dates
from timesheet
WHERE (Start BETWEEN 01.30 AND 02.45) OR (Stop BETWEEN 01.30 AND 02.45)
AND (Dates = '2002-05-05'
and EmployeeID = '18')
