Overwriting text files via form

Hello,

Anybody have any good snippits or URL's to visit regarding for a form based text file uploader? (for lack of a better word.)

The goal is to submit file.txt and have it overwritten each time it is uploaded. My attemps have been feeble as on upload the server creates "copyoffile.txt" instead of overwriting.

If its not critical you could simple use the system and cat /dev/null > data.txt each time before you write to ensure its clean. Cheap and easy way out but if all you want to do is delete the data in this file its a quick way to go about it.
