Join Syntax Help

I'm trying to get a join going between 2 tables and I cant seem to get the results I want.

Basially I've got 2 tables set up something like:
Table1
PKEY
...

Table2
PKEY
EKEY
UKEY
...

Table 2's EKEY = Table 1's PKEY.

What I want, is to fetch every row from Table 1,that excludes any EKEY = PKEY match where
"Table2.EKEY WHERE UKEY = $somevariable."

if that makes any sense.

Hmm, this sounds like a question that's been asked here before. In fact it's an RTFM question that's been asked here before. Here's the manual explanation of how to do it (not the easiest thing to find if you don't know what you're looking for, but then reading the manual is a good thing so you know that things like this are out there...):

The queries:

SELECT * FROM table1
WHERE id NOT IN (SELECT id FROM table2);

SELECT * FROM table1 WHERE NOT EXISTS (SELECT id FROM table2
WHERE table1.id=table2.id);

Can be rewritten as:

SELECT table1.* FROM table1 LEFT JOIN table2 ON table1.id=table2.id
WHERE table2.id IS NULL;

Yes thank you mr supreme being, I tried that and read the manual and its not working.
