PHP Test Server

Hi, i had to recently format my HD because of some serious problems and lost everything. I also went from XP to ME, which i must say sucks.. although XP isnt much better.
I lost my Apache server which was configured perfectly, and cant seem to reconfigure it. + The server isnt running in the background.. its rather retarded.
Im trying to find a free server i can instal to test my PHP scripts. Nothing fancy, thats all i want it to do. Somethign easy, or preconfigured would be great!

Beats me, but Apache seemed fairly easy to me, although there have been some problems around (some months ago a person with the exact same software and configuration simply couldn't make it work). PHP and Apache make a nice couple, and it can't be too hard to get them to work. Why don't you tell us the problem?

BTW server software runs better on NT based systems (for ex. XP) than 95 based ones, as they can run in the background as system services.
