Assign variable names from MySQL results

Hi All,

I have some values stored in a db table like this:

id | cell | name | value | units
1 | B5 | Loading | 23.60000 | mg/cm2
2 | B6 | Collector | 20.00000 | um
3 | B7 | Thickness | 178.00000 | um
etc...

What I am trying to do is to automatically assign the 'value' to a variable called the value of 'cell'.

ie/

$B5 = 23.6;
$B6 = 20;
$B7 = 178;
etc...

Anyone got any ideas as to how I can do this?

I think the other poster didn't quite read what you wrote, as it seems as though you are trying to put information into variables from a database, not just make variables.
