Setting up php

I just installed PHP on my home computer and for some reason I cannot get any form variables to work. I am pretty new to PHP, but I know the code works because I tried it on my host. Anyone have any idea on what I did wrong for setup?

I am running Windows 2000 Advanced Server.

Nevermind. I guess that if I would just READ I would know that I need to turn this functionality on, and if I would have read further, I would have known that turning on these features is not very safe.
