getting a 'clean' printout

I have Apache/PHP/MySQL all running just dandy. What I need to do is let people print off a nicely laid-out, print-friendly web page from their browser.

The problem I'm having is that IE, and possibly other browsers, always stick the ugly URL and other stuff at the top and bottom of the page. How can I prevent this and have just the content of the web page print?

Any suggestions gladly appreciated. Please remember I can't force my client/user base to all change their browsers... :-(

It has nothing to do your server (I think), the user have to turn off the headers & footers on their browsers' page setup... 🙂

Yeah, I just found that, Shu, in the File>Page Setup menu option. There's a spot there for headers and footers that you can clean out.

I was just wondering if there was a way to force this on the server side.

No - those are user options and you're not allowed to change them.
