MySQL ORDER BY Probs.

Hi all,

I am using a MySQL call to grab some info from a DB - i'll give you some background.

What I have is a member list, and those members that are entered into it are sorted differently depending on what their name is, and wether or not they have a website.

At the moment I have got the SQL output to sort by name, but not website as well.

What i get on out put, after the (ORDER BY name, website) is.

A Name
www.awebsite.com

B Name
(No site)

C Name
www.cwebsite.com

When what I want is,

A Name
www.awebsite.com

C Name
www.cwebsite.com

B Name
(no site)

At the moment I am not on the computer that I am using to code this member list but if you need any exmaples of my code post here and I will post it when I am home.

Doncha just hate the simple things that are often overlooked!

You could do this:

Make the table have four fields. Intweb is 0 for no website, 1 for a yes.

create table users(intweb int(1), name varchar(30), websiteurl varchar(50), id int(4) AUTO_INCREMENT, primary key(id));

Then call it by

select * from users ORDER BY intweb, name, websiteurl
