Changing an email address to a mailto

Dear Readers,

I tried to make a preg_match statement which changes a email address in a text to a mailto: statement..

Example:

---Origional---
In this text should this email address: kasper@applemuseum be changed

---After Preg---
In this text should this email address: <A HREF="mailto:kasper@applemuseum">kasper@applemuseum</A> be changed

but I can't get this done.

Hi,

You could try an eregi_replace with this mattern

/(.)@(.)/mailto:$1@$2/. Sorry i haven't got a man handy but just fit that pattern into the sub syntax.
