Cookie write delay

Hi,

I'm setting a cookie for use later on in the page, but there seems to be quite a delay in the cookie being able to be used - presumably this is due to the computer taking its time to write it to the hard disk.

Is there anyway to pause the execution of the PHP script until the cookie has been written?

There is no delay...It takes the computer really little time to write 1KB of text to the hard drive.

The only "delay" that I can think of, is that you can't use the cookie in the same instance of the script that you set it (why would you anyway? you have the variable defined already). Only the next time the script runs will you be able to get the cookie's value. But that's not a "delay" per se...

yes so it is....

only its a "ONEWAY" production, another work around is to refresh the script if the cookie isn't set, after you set it....
