cookie to db

could you please point me where to go to find out how i set a cookie that will also store the username and password into a database table?

i've looked at php.net but i cant find how to link what the user inputs into a cookie to storing that into a databse table

No, probably not all of it, however, it's all good technique and more secure than most. Personally, I would use that.
