Help with Sorting

I have a 2-d array- $name[$x][$y]
$x is the row id off of the flat file, $y is the col being read.
The last col is a unix timestamp ($name[$x][4]), how do I sort the rows by the last col?

aside- new to flat file, been using DB so long, i've never had to do this.

This example assumes that that your timestamp is the 5th index in the flat file rows (change as needed):

<?
foreach ($name as $key => $value) {
$value['row_id'] = $key;
$new_name[$value[5]] = $value;
}
ksort ($new_name);
print_r ($new_name);
?>

$new name is now sorted by date (and you still have your row id's in the 2D array)
