Mysql ?

I Know that this is not the place .
I use much this site to my PHP question .
But i think that this is the best place to find mysql gurus =).

Then my question is :

How under linux console , empty one table ?

Like i have a database named carlos.
And a table name dummy. =)

How can i empty all data inside my dummy table ?? over linux console .

1.) type "mysql" in your console
2.) type "use db" d ist your databse name
3.) type delete from table" table is your table which you want to empty

now it should me empty

(maybe you use mysql -u your_username -h mysq_host -p your_password)

If you want to delete all rows in a table, use TRUNCATE - it's faster.
