PHPSESSID problems

Hello,

I have a page where I need to capture the PHPSESSID value so that I can insert it into a MYSQL database. If a NEW visitor accesses the page the PHPSESSID will not echo back to the browser unless I refresh the page. Is there a way that I can have the PHPSESSID value be available when the first time the user accesses the page?

I believe that by calling session_start at the top of the page, a session ID is generated, and the PHPSESSID variable is populated.

If that doesn't work, you could always scan your /tmp directory for new session files, but that's a little extreme 🙂
