I wish to remove email addresses from messages posted to a forum written in php, for the purposes of protecting privacy and anonymity. For the case where people simply write their email I can just match a regular expression for addresses and strip, however there are many ways of writing an address which will bypass this system, for example replacing . with 'dot' or @ with 'at' or even inserting spaces between each word or letter.
Can anyone recommend a method of removing addresses diguised as above? There are obviously loads more ways, so a function that accounts for many of these would be great.
