session_destroy() important?

hi
if i want to avoid that it is possibly to access any session vars, so i have to destroy the session with session_destroy(). is that correct?
but if it doent matter, is it necessary to destroy the session? wont the variables be deleted automaticaly?

Yes, the sessions are deleted after a certain amount of inactivity, defined in your php.ini file. Don't worry about cleaning them up if the data doesn't need to be destroyed - PHP does it for you.
