Sessions Vanish (NOT back-browser prob.)

Hey,

I'm having a problem with sessions simply vanishing or expiring or whatever. I'd be in a form for an extented time (Timed to 30 minutes) and when I try to submit - all the session registered variables will have been forgotten (in other words I'm logged out).

At first I thought this might be related to the 'session.gc_maxlifetime' setting in the php.ini - so I upped it from 24 minutes to 3 hours - but no success.

Does anyone have an Idea what this could be related to?

sessions naturally timeout in 30 minutes.

if you sit motionless for 30 minutes+ you sesison will die.

try storing the session id in a cookie as well, and then on post re-init the session with its sessionID.
