Hi,
I will try to keep this short by aid of a live example and the provision of downloadable source code - both from my site.
Here is the problem.
I have a form that if not completed fully will let you know which fields you missed and will politely rerequest you complete them before you submit the form.
If you completed the form correctly in the first place then the above step is bypassed.
However, I have a form that if you miss any element/s of the form, and try to correct this, it ignores the new data you entered, and I am at a total loss after 4 hours of fudging with it.
This Code Monkey needs a rest...
So please take a look at the form online and try it out, the database insertion has been left out on these examples, so feel free to test it thoroughly - till your hearts content, or you figure out my problem - pref. the latter!
You can find the live example at:
http://www.intelliwebtech.com/?action=ticket
or the source code as a downloadable zip file:
http://www.intelliwebtech.com/ticket.zip
Please take a look even if you are not absolutely sure you can help, you may just supprise yourself and spot a stupied mistake!
Regards,
Charlie
