POP3 Email Status

Does anyone know how to check the status of messages to see it its:
new
replied_to
urgent
not important

etc..etc.....

I am attempting to write an email client for myself and would like to modify inbox UI for messages with different status.

Umm.. Thanks I've read it.
But either I'm blind or there really isnt anything in those articles addressing my question.

I'm looking to check the status of messages and change display elements based on that.

Examples:

new mail will appear in bold.
replied_to messages will appear in italics
new_important mail will appear in bold/red

that kind of thing.

In order to do that, i must first know some kind of status flag on the email.

Where do I look? I've also looked in the php docs, they help a little bit, but not too much.

Well, i thought that would help you. But, if it doesn't look here:

That function returns the headers of the mail. All of the mail's info is in those headers (apart from the body)

I THINK (at least, i hope so) you will find it there.

Ive read those too.. hmm

here are what seems to be the status elementd returned from imap_header:

[Unseen]:
[Flagged]:
[Answered]:
[Deleted]:
[Draft]:

but no mater what I always get the Recent = N flag.... no matter what.

Is it something im doing wrong maybe?
