Hi, I have a form that writes to a file (working nicely now thanks to a little help from you guys). This file is then read later (kinda like a thought for the day thing). However, if I use quotes (" or ') in my entry they are entered in the text file as \" or \'

They are written from the variable $entry, any ideas?

Use stripslashes() to output your string.

echo stripslashes($mystringname);
