I am developing a local PHP application. I was prompted by something I read to use it with Opera as the default browser. I then came across this curiosity.
Can you please explain it?
My main page displays entries in a database with edit, delete, etc options. The link to be produced should look like
http://localhost/sites/aaa/StoredFiles/SiteDevelopment/SiteManager.php?ap=1&plid=1
This works perfectly well when I browse with IE5.5, and sometimes with Netscape 4.7.
But with Opera the links look like
http://localhost/sites/aaa/StoredFiles/SiteDevelopment/?ap=1&plid=1
Somehow, the substitution of $PHP_SELF has not taken place or been systematically removed.
I presume that my PHP works ok in the first instance, but I do not understand why the behaviour is different under Opera.
Windows 98, Apache 1.3 PHP 4.2.1 Opera 6.03 as default browser
All help graefully received
