Hi All,
Can some of you please tell me some good books to learn PHP as a Beginner?. I have a few of them, but like I said I am a novice and would like to really get to learn this neat code stuff
Thanks in advance.
Ron
Hi, I started with "beginning php4" from wrox (ISBN 1-861003-73-0) and with the official reference manual from php.net.
you can also check this link for other titles : http://www.php.net/books.php

yes, i would recommend the "PRofessional PHP4" by wrox. its the best!
There is a small thin book, published by SAMS, called, "PHP in 12 hours."
Believe it or not, I find it INVALUABLE!
My second choice is Professional PHP4 by wrox.
I'm going to return my copy of "Beginning PHP."
I used PHP and MySQL for Web Development by Welling and Thomson.
I learned so much and got so much value out of it. Why? It has so many really good examples that you can examin the code of, modify and re-use.
Most basic techniques and applications are there.
