Help removing repeat array vals...

OK, I am writing an E-Mail directory and am fast running out of time, so I need you flash programmers to help me out.

I need to remove repeating array values so that the array:
#############################################
Bookshops
Builders/Bricklayers
Catering
Catering
Computer/Electircal
Computer/Electrical
Couriers
#############################################

Would look like:
#############################################
Bookshops
Builders/Bricklayers
Catering
Computer/Electircal
Couriers
#############################################

Always check the actualy php.net site. They actually have documentation on the site BEFORE the function is released in the next version.

OK, I ran into a little trouble. You see the array I am sorting is a two-dimensional array. So I want to remove the entire array that is duplicate to another array within the top array:
#############################################
Bookshops, 0, 0
Builders/Bricklayers, 0, 0
Catering, 0, 0
Catering, 0, 0

Computer/Electircal, 0, 0

Computer/Electrical, 0, 0

Couriers, 0, 0
#############################################
to:
#############################################Bookshops, 0, 0
Builders/Bricklayers, 0, 0
Catering, 0, 0
Computer/Electircal, 0, 0

Couriers, 0, 0
#############################################
This is truly beginning to confuse me!

$result[0][0] = "Bookshops";
$result[1][0] = "Builders";
$result[2][0] = "Catering";
$result[3][0] = "Catering";
$result[4][0] = "Computer";
$result[5][0] = "Computer";
$result[6][0] = "Couriers";
$result[7][0] = "Electricians";
$result[8][0] = "Legal Advice";
$result[9][0] = "Nightclubs";

I need to remove the duplicates!
