Image gallery creating.

How can i make a php script collect the files in a directory, and then simply display them all (after removing the file extension, adding _small to the end and replacing it) with a link of my choice (like <a href="image.php?image=$image">

so...

for example...

take directory x. It would take all the files.

For each, it would cut off the .jpg
Add _small and then the .jpg

Display each one, linked...

I have no idea of what you mean.

I know how to list the files, but how could i print the files ( print () )
