Help with a date query

Hello,
I am trying to write a query and I don't know if I am going about this the right way or if it can be done. What I am trying to do is retrieve the last inputted inspection date from the table, display it, then display the next due date which is in 90-days, and if it is overdue display the text "OVERDUE" next to the date.

This is as far as I gotten. I know it's not complete. Please don't laugh. :o)

SELECT qrtrly
FROM insp
WHERE qrtrly = DATE_ADD(qrtrly, INTERVAL 90 DAY)
";
