Image not appearing

Hi I'm having trouble with my images.They appear only with the image holder and nothing else.I am trying to convert an html page into a php page.I was looking through the postings and I believe that unless we need to go for dynamic images the html tag <IMG SRC> is the way to go.Could I have some pointers.(The display works correctly when I name the file with an html extension).

I don't see any PHP here ... but does the file even exist? In other words, whatever directory this file is in, it has a subdirectory called "images" and in that subdirectory a file called "file.gif"?

Yes the file exists.There is a sub-directory called images within which exists file.gif.I want to embed php code for some validation and navigating the page to another page which is another part.My question is shouldn't this code work on its
own if named somefile.php

So everything works when it's an HTML file, but not when it's a PHP file? Just changing the file extension shouldn't make any difference at all (does it?!?!), so there must be some code involved. We'll need to see that before we can help further, because the problem's not in what you've supplied.

Thanks but this all the code I'm working on to fix this problem.Renamed with an extension of .html and .php4.

It works when the file has an .html extension, but not when it has a .php extension?

Yes....Can you try it out and see if it works for you.Forgot to paste the at the end the last time.

Appears that the problem is occuring on the Zend Development environment.
