stating a html code, without being USED

In my admin page I'm making, I have a part that states, use <br>, and I don't know howto keep it in the echo, without it actually, being a line break.

Either that, or how do I make it, so the line breaks in a form like this I'm using RIGHT now, be converted to <br> ?

if you have <pre> before the code, it wont execute...

if you have a textarea which i think is what you're talking about with the right now, you can use nl2br() which will convert newlines in a variable to <br> when printed out...(ie, if you put all this text into a variable $text and then $text = nl2br($text); )

Have you considered HTML escapes?
