Session Warnings

Hi.
I have the code:
<?php
session_start();
?>

I load this code on a localhost and I get back these warnings.

Warning: open(/tmp\sess_e99e378284116f5745b317f083555649, O_RDWR) failed: No such file or directory (2) in f:\webpages\sess\page1.php on line 2

Warning: Failed to write session data (files). Please verify that the current setting of session.save_path is correct (/tmp) in Unknown on line 0

Can anybody tell me why or better yet, how to make them disappear plz? Thanx 🙂

Im using PHP4.0.8 and Apache on Windows XP...Thanx in advance!

In the error message where it says...verify session.save_path is correct (/tmp).... What this means is that you don't have the dir that is writes the sessions to. Fix it by going to the root dir and creating a dir called tmp. If you want to change where it writes the session info do it your php.ini. I had the same prob with XP and this fixed it.
