How would you write a timer that shows a web page for 2 minutes and then automaticallay removes that page or replaces it with a new page?
Not in PHP; PHP can't control the browser. Instead, write a META refresh tag in the HTML. Something like:
<META http-equiv="Refresh" content="120; URL=http://www.example.com/page.html">
