Possible mail() bug?

Does something this basic result in a message that looks like:

From 1
Line 2
Line 3

for anyone else?

Everytime my message beings with From I get a > in front of it. Why? All
other emails are fine. I'm using PHP 4.2.1 and sendmail 8.12.4 on Linux.

I don't have the problem here. I'm using PHP 4.1.2 with sendmail under Mac OS X and I also tested it on a Debian Linux machine, which runs PHP 4.1.2 with exim (sendmail compatible) and it also doesn't gives this problem :S

Hi Scott, it's something to do with the setup of your mail server- I've seen this elsewhere. I am pretty sure it's not PHP related. Might try a Linux tech support area and see if it rings a bell with anyone?
