need help with amking a jpeg script

how can i make a script display a random jpeg image out of an folder without using the html <img> tag, i want it to be displayed directly as if i typed in the location of the image file directly into the address bar, but the script shall select a random image to be displayed, pls help.

You could get a script to randomly pick an image, and then use a header redirect to forward to that url. Otherwise, you'll have to use an image tag if you want it displayed in a page.
