thanks man! just did what you said... mysqld is not in the folder!!!! what should i do? should i re-install it? all that's in the bin folder are MYSQL, MYSQLC, MYSQLDUMP, MySqlManager, MYSQLSHUTDOWN, PERROR, isamchk, MYSQLADMIN, mysqld-shareware, mysqlimport, mysqlshow, mysqlwatch, and replace. that's it! i tried opening each, except shutdown and manager, what would happen is that the DOS windows would appear not less than a second and close automatically. i didn't have the chance to read what was in it actually. 🙁 thanks again.
