Right heres the question in full .....

Im workin for a hosting company, if you are a client you can log in to cp.logicimage.com and you will be asked for a username and password (protected folder) this lets you in to your control panel where you can set email addresses and play with site stats etc.

What i want is a form on my site which links directly to this page bypassing the popup enter details page (with the correct username and pass of course).

I tried http://username:[e-mail] and this worked but this stores the address in the history.

I tried making a php page with no-cash headers and including('http://username:[e-mail]') but this dont work because all the links are wrong then because its in the wrong root (eg www.lo... instead of cp.lo...).

I dont have access to cp.logicimage.com

Any ideas or suggestions? Am i wasting my time ?

You could try using a non-cache redirect from within the php.

header("Cache-Control: no-cache, must-revalidate");
header("Pragma: no-cache");
header("Location: http://username:[e-mail]");
?>

It seems to work and I havent found a copy of the url in the history list.

Did you try it with a protected folder of your own beacuse it unfortunatly wont work for me. I hard coded the username and password into the location header but it still gives me the popup box. If i copy and paste the exact same url into the address bar it lets me straight in. I dont know whats going on.

Any more ideas Mark ?
