I have a string that looks like this

"BORIS.WELLSFARGO.COM","[e-mail]","294477","MAC A0104-072","11622","Netscape","","Requestors phone - 412-737-2620","Name of AU Mgr - David Weener","Billing AU (no CC's) - 48743","Revoked","","03-APR-02","","",""

What I want to do is remover certain elements of the string So I can upload this into a database

If you look at this you can tell that this is CSV format, I want to remove the quotations and data in place holders 3,6,9,11,13,14,15

so the result would be

"BORIS.WELLSFARGO.COM","[e-mail]","11622","Netscape","Requestors phone - 412-737-2620","Name of AU Mgr - David Weener","Revoked","03-APR-02"

This string will be a variable, the place holders will be static "","","","","" however the data inside the "" will be dynamic

Not the best way to do it but thats just off the top of my head.

You could do something like this:

$NewString = "";
foreach($KeepItems as $index) {
$NewString = $NewString . $StringArray[$index] . ",";

echo trim($NewString, ",");

If the string is coming from a file, PHP provides the fgetcsv() function.
