Cascading Style Sheets with PHP

I'm using LINK REL="stylesheet" TYPE="text/css" HREF="default.css" to add a cascading style sheet to my page. It works just fine with all of the HTML but for some reason anything that's printf'd or echo'd by PHP stays in good ol' Times. I don't like Times. How do I fix it?

Stupid first time mistake. I forgot the Paragraph tags. Thanks for all the help.
