trim decimals

Hello guys,

I need some help with this...

I have a number lets say 932 which I devide with 11 and get a result of 84,7.

What I need is only the 84 (not the 85 if i round it to zero decimals).

$number = substr($result, 0 , 2);

This doesn't work always because some times the number might be a 3 digit, 187,4 let's say.

How can I trim out anything after the comma?
Or select everything before the comma?

echo floor(187.4);
echo floor(84.7);

try using the floor() function. It should return just the integer part of the number with no rounding.

I made it also with dcdiv($number, 11, 0);

also tried with floor and works fine.
