Complicated php/sql date problem....

Hi there!

I always stored the registration date of members in the format dd.mm.yyyy

the problem is that I cant sort such a date as

10.01.2002 is "bigger" than
01.05.2002

Is there any way to
as
2002.05.01 IS "bigger" than
2002.01.10

is there any easy/good way to invert the field before using "order by" ?

Why didn't you just use the many timestamp field types given by your database?

All databases offer SQL functions for dealing with date/time fields for you.

I suggest reworking your tables and reformatting your timestamps to be valid timestamp types.

Sounds like you storing it as a string instead of as a date. You must store your dates in a date type field to sort and format them correctly.

You should try saving date in DATE type field.
