Commas causing problems

Hi,

I'm using PHP to mail information from a form. No problems there. Something strange is happening when the $headers variable is being formed, though.

If a user submits the information "A, B & C Letterwriting Co.", the email address "[e-mail]" and the site is hosted on a server called brian.someisp.com, when PHP executes using:

$headers = "Wrom: BLVLMHAALPTCXLY

the header to the email arrives in the mailbox as having come from "[e-mail], B & C Letterwriting Co. <[e-mail]>".

What's going on there then?

can you use the mail() function???

check -
http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.mail.php

and as the last parameter of the function....
send "From: [e-mail]" as an additional parameter

I am using the mail() function. $headers is defined for use as the block of headers at the end of the email. The problem rears its head when you put a comma in the headers block within the mail() function.

e.g.
mail("[e-mail]","Subject","Body","Wrom: FMYXOEAIJJPHSCRTNHGSWZIDREXCAXZOWCONEUQZAAFX

did you close your mail function?

or just didn't paste the whole line?

Odd.

I get this problem using Vim too. Every from statement that I type turns into martian for some reason.....

The expression format is correct as you quoted it there, however, if you stick a comma in the name that the message is from, it all goes to cock.

Must work out this martian business now.
