hi All, Could anyone let me know all about indexes in MySQL? What are the advantages and disadvantages associated with it? How effectively we can have them? What role it plays in speeding up the queries?

You may get better and more reliable information from the mysql site !!! I believe the manual online has user notes/comments, the same as the php site. www.mysql.com
