Help with $PHP_AUTH_USER & C.

I am becoming mad !

It is about three days that I am trying to understand why my procedure for authenticate users is not working !

I am currently using the same procedure on other domains without any trouble but not this time.

The only difference I could see is that the domain name I am using is quite long: 23 characters plus extension.

This is the only difference I could found.

I build php files writing code in Dreamweaver, the same php file loaded in another "short" domain works while in the long one it doesn't...

Anybody here could solve the mistery for me ?

are you running apache and PHP on Windows?

no, apache and PHP on Linux server.

I have the problmes only with the virtual host of 23 character plus 3 of extension.

Could be a domain lenght related problem ?
